Why use presets instead of generic resize?

Generic compressors only change file size. Government portals also check pixel dimensions, aspect ratio, background colour, and sometimes face height or name-and-date overlays. Each PhotoFix preset encodes the rules from the current official notification so you see failures before upload, not after rejection.

No. Processing runs in your browser. We do not store your images — see our privacy policy.

Which preset should I pick?

Match the portal on your form — e.g. India passport for Passport Seva, SSC CGL for Staff Selection Commission, or search below.

Do specs ever change?

Yes — for example Indian passport moved to 35×45 mm ICAO in 2025. We publish a last-verified date on each spec page and update presets when notifications change.
