Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information we collect when you use photofix.site and the PhotoFix mobile apps, how we use it, and your choices. PhotoFix is a document photo formatting tool — your images are processed on your device by default.

1. Photos and files

We do not upload or store your passport, exam, or visa photos on our servers when you use the browser-based editor. Image processing (crop, background replacement, compression) runs locally in your browser. Exported files are downloaded directly to your device.

If you contact support with a sample file for troubleshooting, we treat that as a voluntary submission and delete it after the issue is resolved unless you ask us to retain it.

2. Account information

When you sign in, we use Firebase Authentication to store your email address and a unique user identifier. This lets you restore purchases and sync entitlements across devices. We do not receive your password — authentication is handled by Firebase/Google.

3. Payments

Paid exports and unlocks are processed by Razorpay. We receive transaction identifiers, payment status, and the email associated with your order — not your full card number or UPI PIN. Razorpay's privacy policy governs payment data they collect directly.

4. Analytics and diagnostics

We collect anonymised usage events (pages visited, preset selected, export completed) to understand which specs need updating and to fix errors. We do not sell personal data to advertisers. Analytics data is aggregated where possible.

5. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser local storage for session state, preset cache, and sign-in tokens. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on photofix.site.

6. Data retention

• Account records: retained while your account is active.
• Payment records: retained as required for tax and refund disputes (typically 7 years).
• Support emails: retained up to 24 months unless deletion is requested earlier.
• Photos: not retained on our servers during normal tool use.

7. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of account data we hold by emailing support@photofix.in. We respond within 30 days. If you are in India, you may also lodge a complaint with the relevant data protection authority.

8. Children

PhotoFix is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Parents applying for a child's passport may use the tool on the child's behalf.

9. Changes

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. Material changes will be noted on this page with a revised effective date.
