About PhotoFix

PhotoFix helps Indians make passport, visa, and government exam photos that pass portal validators the first time. The tool runs in your browser — your photos are processed on your device and are not uploaded to our servers.

Who builds this

PhotoFix is maintained by the Elvento team in India. We built it after seeing the same rejection patterns repeat across Passport Seva, OCI, visa centres, and SSC/UPSC forms: wrong dimensions, off-white backgrounds, files outside the KB window, and outdated 51×51 mm crops after the 2026 ICAO passport change.

How we verify specifications

Every preset on PhotoFix is tied to a primary official source — Passport Seva PDFs, OCI portal FAQs, embassy or VFS guidance, or the current exam notification. We record the source URL and a last verified date on each published spec page.

  1. Source check: We read the current official PDF, portal FAQ, or notification — not forum posts or studio handouts.
  2. Preset build: Pixel dimensions, aspect ratio, background colour, face-height rules, and KB limits are encoded in the preset engine so the live checklist matches the written spec.
  3. Cross-check: Before publishing, we compare the preset against at least one independent secondary reference (e.g. VFS Global for visas, SSC combined notification for exams).
  4. Re-verification: When a portal updates its rules — as Passport Seva did in September 2025 — we update the preset, bump the verified date, and refresh the linked content pages.

Pages marked needs verification in our CMS are preview-only: they carry a banner and are excluded from search indexing until a team member completes the steps above.

What PhotoFix is not

PhotoFix is an independent private utility. We are not affiliated with the Government of India, Passport Seva, UPSC, SSC, NTA, VFS Global, or any embassy. Requirements change — always confirm on the official portal before you submit.

If a preset does not match the current official spec, email support@photofix.in with the notification or PDF link. We aim to review correction requests within two business days.
